enquiry.
We will deal with your enquiry as quickly as we can, but at our
busiest times, i.e. the summer months, it may take up to ten
days.

The Student Awards Group office at Bishops Terrace is open
between Monday and Friday, 9am - 12pm and 2pm - 4pm.
No appointment is necessary.

Contacting us by post
It may be necessary for a student, parent, or partner/spouse to
forward original documentation, such as birth or marriage
certficates to the Local Authority.
Please note that if you wish to have the document returned by
Recorded or Special Delivery, the sender must include a pre-paid
Recorded or Special Delivery label for this purpose.
Contacting us by telephone
If you need to telephone the Student Awards Group, our telephone
lines are open Monday to Friday, between 10am - 4pm.
However, during Kent Student Awards
Group's busy period, 1st April to 31st October, it will be
necessary for the office to reduce its telephone opening times, due
to the sheer volume of work.
Please Note: The letter of the alphabet your surname
begins with dictates which telephone number you should
use.
Please also ensure that you have your
Customer Reference Number and Secret Answer
to hand when calling (if you have been supplied with them) as
the Kent Local Authority must now authenticate their callers. If
you do not have your Customer Reference Number and Secret
Answer, then we will try to authenticate your call in another
way, but this may mean that we will only be able to give a
limited answer to your questions. Authentication has been
brought in to the Authority's practice of work to protect their
callers, as well as the Authority itself.
