When do I send my application form for travel assistance?
Please return the form as soon as possible once you know which
college the student will be attending. For students
attending in September, please make sure that the form arrives no
later than 31 July.
Late applications will be dealt with, but the student's season
ticket may not be available by the first day of term if you apply
late and you will need to make your own arrangements, at your own
expense, during the period whilst waiting for the ticket(s) to be
processed.
If you do not know by 31 July which college the student will be
attending, please apply for assistance to the college you hope the
student will attend. It is easier to alter a ticket, or to cancel a
season ticket and refund you the contribution than it is to handle
a large volume of very late applications.
A renewal form for spring term and summer term travel will be
sent from the Area Awards team. This will have on it a date by
which it must be returned with your termly contributions.
