- families, estates and manors back to the 13th Century
- maps beginning in the 1500s
- photographs and prints from the 19th Century onwards.
To find out more search our
online

For further information
and guidance go to Starting your
research.
There are also very good
collections of local history material in your local area at the
main district
libraries. This material could include censuses,
photographs, maps, newspapers, ephemera and books. You can
search for a lot of this material using the local history
section of the online libraries
catalogue or contact your
local library.
Many local history groups and
museums also hold historic material that could be useful for your
research. For information relating to the Medway area please
contact the Medway
Archives and Local Studies Centre and for information on
Canterbury Cathedral visit the Canterbury
Cathedral Archives website.
We are always willing to consider
accepting new documents and collections. Please see our
collecting statement for further information.
