County councillors

Kent County Council is made up of 81 members (councillors) who are elected every 4 years. The next full election will take place in 2025.

81 members were elected in 2021. Elections took place in May 2021, although the election for one division was delayed until June 2021.

The council is currently made up of:

  • 59 Conservative
  • 7 Labour (including Labour and Co-operative Party)
  • 6 Liberal Democrat
  • 5 Green Party
  • 1 Swale Independents
  • 1 Swanscombe and Greenhithe Residents’ Association
  • 2 Independent.

The Green Party, Swale Independents, and Swanscombe and Greenhithe Residents’ Association have formed the Green and Independents political group.
