Kent Youth County Council (KYCC) elections
KYCC is open to all young people aged 11 to 18 years old. Sixty young people from the county will be elected to represent Kent's youth. They will campaign on the top 3 issues for young people. Find out more about becoming a KYCC member.
Voting opened on 11 November and closes on 24 November for the Kent Youth County Council elections.
Results of the election will be published on 3 December.

Feeling safe in Kent | Young people should feel safe in their communities and while traveling to and from school. We need to reduce crime and create more safe spaces for young people. |
Free school meals and tackling poverty | All children should receive free school meals. We need to do more to tackle poverty and reduce the financial pressures on families. |
Mental health and wellbeing | We need to raise awareness and provide more support for young people's mental health, ensuring that services are accessible and tailored to their needs. |
More youth clubs and activities for young people | We must ensure young people have places to socialise and access to free or affordable activities like sports, creative spaces, and volunteering. |
Public transport | We must campaign to lower bus fares for under-18s and improve bus services in Kent by reducing overcrowding and aligning timetables with school hours. |
Schools and education for our future | Young people should receive life skills education and careers advice in a supportive learning environment, which includes reducing bullying and allowing students to use the toilet during lessons. |
