I want you to vote for me because:
I have suffered with mental health and have seen others suffer as well. I would like to make change by helping younger people reach out.
Issue 1: mental health
Over the years, mental health has become an awkward subject leading to people suffering in silence. I’d like to find a way to help younger people easily reach out for help considering they may feel helpless.i want to help them and make sure they feel validated and improved when they’re given the help.
Issue 2: environmental awareness
I am not fully educated on environmental issues but I am willing to learn to help our world. Earth is beautiful and a lot of us take it for granted. I want to figure out a way that can encourage people to recycle and do things the eco way, that’s easy but makes a difference to our environment and people.
Issue 3: poverty and Free School Meals
My school has a Free School Meal limit of £2.45 even though one sandwich is close to £3. i want to find a way to increase that limit while keeping the schools finances in check. we should take leftover foods and drinks and hand them to those who may struggle as they open new boxes every day.
I want you to vote for me because:
I believe that the opinions of young people are listened to, but rarely actually heard. If I'm elected, I'll ensure your voice will be heard.
Issue 1: environmental issues
Environment can hugely impact young people and their learning. We should aim to tackle damage our climate in places for young people as no one wants to learn or work in an environment that is poorly looked after. We should aim to recycle more among other things. If I'm elected, I'll try to sort this.
Issue 2: quality of education
Places of education tend to be heavily neglected and outdated in equipment, style of teaching and learning. Educational needs are different for all pupils, schools rarely recognise this as they allow for little freedom in the style that pupils learn. This is not fair, I intend to make this change.
Issue 3: mental health
More young people than ever struggle with mental health and there is little help in place. If I'm elected, I will seek to change this, as having struggled myself at times, I will do my best to make sure people are heard with their issues in order for them to receive the help they need and deserve.
I want you to vote for me because:
I want to help people who have not gotten support for mental disabilities as they have not been diagnosed.
Issue 1: better mental disability diagnosis
I would have easier accessibility to diagnosis so that young people can get the support they need.
Issue 2: better support for people with mental health issues
Personally, I have seen a lack of support or none at all for people who can feel stressed often, such as myself. I would be delighted to see action take to help young people lead less stressful lives.
Issue 3: better school support for people with mental disabilities
Some people can struggle with learning a lot more than others. Whether that is not being able to concentrate, or finding it hard to process a lot of information. I would love to see more improvement to how we tackle these issues.
I want you to vote for me because:
You should for vote me because I will listen to you and your needs. I will make a difference in young people’s life and future.
Issue 1: LGBTQ+
What I will do to help people who are a part of the LGBTQ community is to make them seen and heard in their own way . People who suffer from homophobia can resort to self harm.
Issue 2: racism
If I get voted, I will help stop racism and help people who have suffered from racism and discrimination from others and can lead to self harm.
Issue 3: sexism
I will try and support people who have been affected or involved with sexism to help them and others so that can come out form the dark and in to the light. Sexism also my lead to self harm.
I want you to vote for me because:
The young generation of my age need help in a lot of issues and feel less understood, so i want to represent them so we help each other.
Issue 1: mental health support
The kids of this age group are facing tons of mental health issues such as depression, stress and peer pressure due to competition. They need our utmost support in this issue as it is a major concern for them in their career building.
Issue 2: mobile de-addiction
The youth of this generation is spoiling their life behind cyber addiction. They need full support in this issue so we can help them take control of their time spending on social media and wasting their youth and focusing more on creative ideas and work which will eventually build strong future.
Issue 3: anti-smoking
Thanks to vapes, kids are getting easy hand on smoking as they think this is better and lesser evil than actual cigarette smoking. This needs to be dealt with high precision and understanding and enlightening and highlighting the side effects of such vaping at this young age.
I want you to vote for me because:
I would focus on supporting child carers and look closely at environmental issues, such as excessive waste and technology misuse.
Issue 1: supporting visible and unseen difficulties
In this campaign, I would like to focus on the many issues in our county, including social help. For example, I would raise awareness about different forms of abuse and identify places people can get help. Also, I would like to help people who do not have a caring home to go to after a hard day.
Issue 2: global awareness in our area
We cannot stop global warming, but we can help to prevent it. In aid, I would like to increase the amount of litter signs and bins, due to the horrific waste in our area. I would also like to see more water saving adverts, to create awareness and stop over usage.
Issue 3: higher levels of support for child carers
Sadly, a lot of children are young carers, due to their parents having a medical condition. Some are bullied because they don't have the same things as others, and others are missing out on fun things. I would like to support and help young carers, as they are doing a noble thing.
I want you to vote for me because:
I feel I’ll be a great accomplice to help our community and offer great ideas to support the wellbeing of our town.
Issue 1: wellbeing and safeguarding
To help the people that are in need of help around Dover and get them doing activities to get bad things off their mind. And to use my great ideas to put things in place to keep our community safe for all ages.
Issue 2: free school dinners and help the unfortunate people
I can put my ideas to the high people for people who have a hard time getting food for their kids to take to school or even put money on fobs so their children can have food for that day.
Issue 3: The home town
I can put my ideas ahead to see if we can get the town cleaner and get the people to help make the town their town and make it look better than it is.
I want you to vote for me because:
I am a great listener and love taking part in these sorts of things. I would also take other people's opinion's and see what could be done.
Issue 1: giving people who can't afford it, Free School Meals
Raising money in various different ways, like doing a bake sale or doing a sponsored walk.
Issue 2: providing schools with more equipment
Similar to the one above, but then using the money to buy equipment and providing them to schools across the county.
Issue 3: providing schools with many musical instruments to learn music in a clearer way
Because instruments are usually expensive, I suggest we could get people to donate old unwanted instruments or again, raise money to buy some of them.
I want you to vote for me because:
I like this country and I want to help my young ones to become a better person in lifetime and future and show them love and support and care.
I want you to vote for me because:
Over the years I have been at Kent Youth County Council I have helped make a difference and I would like to continue doing so for my community.
Issue 1: transport
I have found that transport is incredibly unreliable and expensive. I want to change this by making transport companies responsible for delayed or
cancelled services. Not enough is being done to reduce the cost of getting to school. Changing this would make Kent a better place to get an education.
Issue 2: life skills
Equipping young people with essential life skills is more crucial than ever. Education should go beyond academics to include skills that prepare us for real life challenges. Money management could be taught along with first aid and cooking skills to promote healthy living and independence.
Issue 3: environment
Our planet’s future depends on the actions we take today as a society. By integrating environmental education into our schools, we can minimise waste and conserve resources. Additionally, working towards net zero emissions in our schools would significantly reduce our carbon footprint as a county.
I want you to vote for me because:
I am passionate about making positive changes to all our communities.
Issue 1: minds matter!
I want to explore how Kent Youth County Council could help schools to provide more teaching and support for mental health in schools. It's so important we understand how to help and support each other, but also that we have the opportunity to get that help as well by having people in schools dedicated to mental health.
Issue 2: get outdoors!
I am passionate about being outside, especially with my horses. If I am elected, I would like to explore how we could support schools to provide more enrichment around farming and agriculture to give us wider experiences and help us to appreciate our environment more.
Issue 3: get around!
I would like to look into how Kent Youth County Council could help support children with lower incomes to access opportunities around Kent. Travel is so expensive now, so I would like to explore how funding or prices could be looked at to help everyone have equal opportunities.
I want you to vote for me because:
I can make a change. I will focus on inequality, accessibility and mental heath. I will also listen to you and make the changes you want.
Issue 1: fighting against inequality about age
I would like to fight against inequality about age, as many young people hate being told that they can't do something because of their age and I want to change that. I want young people to be able to have confidence that they can do something and not be discriminated while doing what they love to do.
Issue 2: accessibility
Many places in Kent aren't accessible to people and I know many schools especially aren't accessible to people with wheelchairs as the school hasn't got ramps or ways that children that aren't able to go up the stairs, for example, in a wheelchair, which impacts their education, so I really want to change that.
Issue 3: mental health
Mental health is something I am very passionate about. Many young people struggle with mental health and feel like they can't talk to anyone about
it. I want to change this, I want people to feel they can talk to someone and feel comfortable doing so.
I want you to vote for me because:
I can use my life experiences to educate others and to make sure every young person has a voice and gets to speak up for what’s right.
Issue 1: inclusivity
Making sure everybody having a voice and people who have disabilities or special needs get treated fairly and as normal as possible whilst being accommodated.
Issue 2: poverty
A family friend regularly takes the opportunity to engage with the homeless, for example, giving them supplies. I would like to encourage this and build up relationships with the unfortunate, so we can help set them on track for a brighter future.
Issue 3: bullying
With my experience, I would like people to be able to easily see and pay attention to bullying issues and come up with a way to prevent it, especially in schools and places of extra curricular activities where it’s sadly most common.
I want you to vote for me because:
I want to change the lives of young people everywhere, so no matter where you are or who you are, you're opinion and voice will be heard.
Issue 1: educational standards
Talk about the negatives and the positives of how the education system is run and how we make make it even better.
Issue 2: our voice and rights
Talk about how we should have more of a say in how our lives are run and ways we can improve it.
Issue 3: easier access to higher education
Talking about how getting higher education is a foggy area which is discussed enough and how we can make it easier for those who seek higher education.
I want you to vote for me because:
I’d like to be voted as I want to make a difference in this community by speaking what I think must be done. I’m ready to be a better person.
Issue 1: LGBTQ+
I would like to make sure the people who aren’t a part of the LGBTQ+ community can at least respect the people who are.
Issue 2: racism
I would like to make sure the people who are of colour can speak freely,` and try to stop racism.
Issue 3: sexism
People who are sexist might not know it’s bad, but if they do, I want to try and stop that.
I want you to vote for me because:
I want to change how racism and suicide affect young people. This is a serious topic to talk about and the mental health for young people.
Issue 1: help for mental health
People do unfortunately have bad mental health due to school, home or family issues, and 198 children took their lives away from them in 2021 just to make life feel better. We need to stop this happening due to family’s getting depressed and sad because they have to deal with missing their children.
Issue 2: racism against children
Racism is also a really bad thing, just because people have a different colour or skin doesn’t mean they are bad or horrible people. I understand sometimes people do the wrong thing, but don’t we all, it’s not just specific people. We need to look over this again and again to stop it, sadly.
Issue 3: general problems with children
Sadly, some people carry dangerous weapons on them at school or not know this is a serious crime and could lead to jail time. Bringing knives to school is so dangerous even if you don’t use it, people can steal it or accidentally cut themselves looking through your bag. This is a serious problem.
