UK Youth Parliament representatives for Kent

Each year the Kent Youth County Council elects 8 Members of Youth Parliament (MYPs). They represent Kent nationally at UK Youth Parliament events.

  • Justice Manyewe - Maidstone
  • Rakan Pharaon- Seveoaks
  • Shreya Nivarty - Tonbridge and Malling
  • Sukhpreet Thind - Gravesham
  • Tiyamike Inga Chimsasa - Dartford
  • William Jones - Ashford.

What an MYP does

MYPs represent their community on the national political stage.

They speak to decision makers to raise awareness of the issues that effect young people.

Campaign priorities

At the 2022 annual sitting of the UK Youth Parliament, members voted to focus on a new campaign to raise awareness of the cost of living crisis and health.
