Maidstone and Malling surface water management plan

The large urban area of Maidstone and Malling straddles the administrative boundaries of Maidstone and Tonbridge and Malling borough councils. It was identified that a surface water management plan focusing on this area would be beneficial in improving our understanding of local flood risk issues in this area of Kent.

Conclusions

The study identified a number of generic and local actions to manage the risk of local flooding. The actions ranged from continued monitoring of flooding events to targeted maintenance schedules.
