Live Margate

Live Margate is a 10 to 15 year programme investing in turning derelict and unoccupied buildings into quality family homes.

We aim to make Margate, in particular Cliftonville West and Margate Central, a place where more people aspire to live. We will achieve this by:

  • increasing the number of family homes
  • improving living and housing standards
  • encouraging investment and owner occupation.

£23.1 million is being invested into the programme through a number of key organisations in addition to Kent County Council, including Thanet District Council and the Homes and Communities Agency.
