Kent Rail Strategy
Our rail strategy sets out how we will influence train services for Kent's passenger network over the next 10 years (2021 to 2031).
The strategy aligns with both local and national transport policies, which recognise rail as a key part of our transport priorities.
We'll also encourage more passengers and freight to use rail services. This will support our climate change agenda by reducing carbon emissions which will contribute to a healthier environment.
Kent Rail Summit 2024
We hosted Southeastern Trains who updated about train service performance, the Customer and Community Investment Fund and improvements to help people use the railway.
This was followed by an update from the Bring Back Eurostar local government campaign in Kent.
Transport for the South East presented about their work with partners across the wider south east region on forming a partnership to encourage improved services and investment from the government and Great British Railways, and their plans to study how rail freight can be further facilitated.
