Network Management Plan

Our Network Management Plan outlines and explains our responsibilities under the Traffic Management Act.

The Traffic Management Act asks that we carry out our responsibilities to work to reduce road traffic congestion across Kent.

Our Network Management Plan aims to:

set the scene of the county
outline its physical environment
outline the primary challenges faced in attempts to reduce and manage congestion
provide detail into the relevant legislation
explain the role and responsibilities of the Traffic Manager
outline Kent’s highway network including providing information on our assets across highways, transportation and public transport
discuss Kent’s physical landscape, and the relationships between the county and partnering authorities such as district councils and national highways
explain how our strategic functions marry with the aims and objectives of the Traffic Management Act.
