License your venue

We licence venues for civil marriages and partnerships in Kent. A venue licence needs to be renewed every 3-years.

Suitable venues and regulations

A ceremony venue must be a permanent structure to get a licence. It must be a place to celebrate, with solemnity and dignity, life's important events.

Licence fees

The below figures are for a 3-year licence:

  • One ceremony room: £2,200.
  • Any extra ceremony rooms or areas: £110 each (at time of initial application).
  • Appeal against refusal of licence, licence conditions or decision to revoke: £1,000.
