Toxicology services

Our toxicology team carries out toxicology for His Majesty’s Coroners. This is in cases of sudden or unexplained death which may involve toxic substances such as alcohol, prescribed drugs, illegal drugs, carbon monoxide, cyanide or solvents. Our findings help the Coroner to arrive at a verdict on the nature of a death.

We also offer these analytical services to health and safety officers, occupational health professionals and similar professions.

This service is not available for monitoring therapeutic levels of drugs for patients undergoing treatment.

Accreditation

Kent Scientific Services is a UKAS accredited testing laboratory No. 1398 for the analysis of drugs and alcohol.
