Animal feed
Kent Trading Standards provide advice and guidance to those involved in all stages of the feed chain. From primary production of feed, rearing livestock, manufacturing feed, import and export, storage, transport and supply.
We carry out an annual programme of planned inspections to feed business operators across Kent, in line with nationally set inspection frequencies.
We also register and approve all feed businesses operating within the county.
Under Feed Hygiene Regulation 183/2005, feed business operators are required to be registered or approved with us, depending on the activities being carried out.

Registration is free of charge. The cost for approval is set by legislation. The current fees are below:
