Animal importation

Kent Trading Standards are responsible for enforcing legislation governing the import of animals into the UK, which may enter via the Port of Dover or Eurotunnel Le Shuttle.

If you plan to import animals (including pet animals) to the UK there are strict rules you must follow. The rules differ depending on whether animals are being imported as pets or on a commercial basis (which includes any transfer of ownership).
