Prepare for your trip

We know that good preparation is key to a successful visit and we are here to help make this as easy as possible. We are happy to help as much as we can at every step, from the booking process through to your departure, so feel free to contact us at any point.

Book your travel

To visit us either arrange coach travel from the UK or use local French transport companies. If you need some help, contact us for further information.

What to bring

  • A first aid kit, including insect repellent in the summer.
  • A mobile phone.
  • Wet weather gear and suitable outdoor shoes.
  • Slippers, as shoes must be removed in the accommodation block.
  • Some euros as a contingency fund (if you need to go to a doctor or chemist, they will require upfront payment).
  • At least one towel per person, and your own toiletries.
  • Plug adaptors for hair-dryers and other small electric devices, as the centre is fitted with French plugs.

Overall responsibilities

  • We expect group leaders to be responsible for and deal with disciplinary problems that arise within their group.
  • Teachers are responsible for administering any medication the pupils are currently taking. Inform us in advance if any of your pupils have severe medical problems or other issues that we need to know about.
  • Ensure that you and your staff respect the site and facilities by keeping it tidy, using bins and returning and tidying away equipment after use. Make sure you return classrooms to how you found them. As well as making and stripping the beds (linen provided).

Arrivals and departures

  • Arrival time is around 4pm.
  • If you need to arrive early, contact us. You may need to leave your luggage in a communal area until the accommodation is ready.
  • Check out is at 10am on the day of departure.
  • Coaches are parked at the gate and you will need to walk about 700 metres to the accommodation. We recommend young people bring suitcases fitted with wheels.

What’s included

Included:

  • Sole occupancy.
  • Accommodation.
  • The meals according to your choice, half-board (breakfast and dinner), or full board.
  • Use of facilities on site.

Not included:

  • Pocket money (for market trips for example)
  • Entrance fees for excursions and activities in the local area. However, you can easily choose excursions that do not have entrance fees (local markets, visit to the beach for example).
  • Travel insurance.
  • Cost of travel arrangements to and from Hardelot and during your stay at Hardelot.
