The Adaptation Catalyst e-tool
As part of the STAR2Cs project, the Adaptation Catalyst is a tool designed to help decision makers plan and justify local action to adapt to our changing climate. It provides insights on how best to implement adaptation measures through incremental, integrated actions, within the uncertainty that climate change presents.
Designed for both experts and non-experts, the tool can help to demonstrate:
- how or if adaptation can be combined with regular asset management works
- choices between different types and packages of adaptation measures, for example, engineered or nature based solutions
- actions that must be taken today, and those for the future
- drawbacks of not taking actions to adapt to climate change.
