Access at Pegwell Bay Country Park
Pegwell Bay Country Park commands stunning views of Sandwich and Deal to the west and the cliffs of Ramsgate to the east. The park acts as the entrance to a nature reserve and the rare flora and fauna here make this an area of national importance.

Café
Our café is open most days throughout the year (weather dependant) and is easily accessible and based in the main car park. The café is at ground level and seating is outside on hard surface or on picnic benches nearby.
Toilets
We have one unisex accessible toilet within the main building which can be accessed via surfaced pathways and does not require a RADAR key to access.
Toilet facilities are available at all times when the car park is open to visitors.
Parking
We have a small car park to the left as you enter the park next to the toilet facilities, and another facing the beautiful sights of the sea. Neither car parks have allocated bays, however, the areas are hard standing and flat.
Car parking machines are a suitable height for wheelchair users. Your car registration number needs to be entered.
If you are a Blue Badge holder, purchase an annual season ticket in advance of your visit. The annual season ticket gives you access to all of our country park car parks free of charge during the year.
To purchase your season ticket call 03000 41 72 72, and have your Blue Badge number and credit or debit card handy for reference.
Paths
The main coast path from the car park is surfaced and flat, this links up with a Sustrans route (cycle path) meaning it is possible for a circular route to be undertaken. There are also a number of closely mowed permissive paths through the park in between grazing and rough grass areas.

Play area
Our play area includes:
- a nautical themed play area with a junior multi-play unit
- an inclusive roundabout
- inclusive picnic tables so all families can picnic together.
The play area is surfaced with recycled, rubber ‘Wetpour’ safety surfacing. The all-weather, impact absorbing surfacing helps prevent injuries while children are playing.
The play area is designed to improve free access to health and wellbeing activities and to stimulate challenging, creative and sociable play. The work complements the existing stunning coastal walks and cycle routes.
