Day centres

Day centres are places for older people, disabled people or those who:

  • need extra help to take part in activities
  • want to catch up with friends and have lunch or a cup of tea.

Whilst not all activities are free, there may be a small charge for activities such as:

  • chiropody
  • hairdressing
  • days out.

Most day centres are open to everyone. But, there are some specialist ones. Specialist centres will need to assess you before you visit them.

Struggle with mobility? Many centers offer transport to pick you up and drop you back home.

The Care Quality Commission inspect some of the day centres in Kent. It depends on the services the day center provides and who runs the centre.

Search for local day centres via our local directory or the Kent Connect to Support directory.
